The staff at Polarity is truly the difference between an audio project just being recorded and mixed and one that takes on a life and personality of its own. Below are the people who make it more than just possible, they make it a creative fusion of the audio elements and the story which needs to be told.

Patrick Fitzgerald

Senior Engineer / CEO / Sound Design

With over 20 years experience across a wide variety of projects, Patrick is one of the premier audio engineers working in the field today. Whether it is television spots, radio ads, corporate videos or feature films, he is able to effeciently craft the proper sound to meet a client's requirements. In 2003, he and Roger Wiersema co-founded Polarity Post in the former Music Annex Building in San Francisco.

Eduardo Mendoza

Senior Engineer / Music Library Genius

Eduardo is a Bay Area native and recently graduated from Ex'pression College with a degree in Sound Arts. His passion for Music and Film Sound has led him to Polarity Post Production to begin his career in Sound Engineering. From a young age he has always been fascinated in high quality audio. For the past decade he has been an avid music collector and even ran a small sound reinforcement venture. Today you can find him using his skills recording and mixing music for new projects.

Erik Reimers

Engineer

It was late one night at Polarity Post, and only a single room was aglow and pulsing with the vibrations of final tweaks in an effort to get this one last cue just right. As Erik was finishing up and saving his night's work, uneasiness stole over him, quickly turning to alarm when he hears the faint sound of clothes rustling in the hall. In an instant he was up and out of the control room and making his way down the dark hall as fast as he could feeling his way with one hand in front of him and the other along the wall. As he approaches the Machine Room door he feels a rush of wind pass him and without hesitation bursts through the door and turns on the lights though he already knows what to expect. A cold steely resolve takes hold of him as he sees the hard drives missing from their appropriate place next to the computer tower and he turns towards the front door. Suddenly he remembers the rush of air passing him in the hall. Not towards the front door but .... And as fast as he can, he makes his way up the stairs grabbing an old broom handle as he rounds the last landing and bursts through the last door leading out onto the rooftop. His hunch was correct! He raises the broom handle over his head like a spear and releases it with the deft skill of a tribal hunter marking his prey. He knows he has hit his target as he hears the sound of the perpetrator tumble over and audibly grumble a curse. He is already on top of the criminal restraining him with one arm while searching him with the other to retrieve his drives and just as Erik finds them in the man's bag he slips Erik's grip and rolls over the edge of the roof disappearing into the night.Turning from the edge of the roof and heading back to the stairs, Erik thinks of the one who sent that man, and knows to be ready when they come again, as he knows they certainly will ....

Pat Edillo

Receptionist/Accounting Associate

Pat is an Oakland native who has spent the last 4+ years in the post production community as a receptionist/administration assistant at Pomegranit Editorial. She also worked in the banking industry for 16 years doing everything from credit rating to loan processing. Pat then tried getting her hands dirty for a while so she enrolled in a program "Women in Skilled Trades" and became a heavy equipment operator, driving big machinery for a year... "brutal, brutal, brutal". Now that she's come to her senses, she's glad to be here at Polarity Post doing what she does best, servicing the clients' needs as a receptionist and accounts person. Pat's off time consists of singing, dancing and enjoying life with her husband and animals.
